MacOS Cura bug

I have a recurring problem in using Cura on Mac. Currently using the last version 15.02.1, but the same happened with version 14.2.

Sometimes (quite often actually) Cura goes into a state in which I cannot use the dropdown menus for supports and platform adhesion. If I click on the menus, they won't drop down. I noticed that in this state if I mouseover on the various fields of the interface of "Basic settings", I will not see the yellow tooltips with the explanations on the field either.

When this happens, I have to restart the Mac to have Cura working again. Quitting and relaunching will not fix it.

It is somewhat annoying. Did someone else noticed that? Anyway this can be looked at?

I am using an iMac with Yosemite 10.10.2.

EDIT:

if I open Cura by clicking on the program icon in the tray, it will work fine.

If instead I open the stl file directly (which will start cura), then I have the weird unresponsive state.

Just realized that. So for now I will just start cura and then import model, instead of opening the stl file directly

In some cases on Mac you end up with an 'hidden dialog box' (It is behind the main Cura window, and the way WxWidget works on Mac you cannot see it nor select it)

When you are in this situation drop boxes aren't working anymore.

If you start shuffling your main Cura window around you might see it...

I guess this won't be solved until Pink Unicorn...

Indeed, the problem is in the wxPython toolkit, which is at the code of the current Cura. One of the goals of the rewrite was to change the toolkit to QT, which does not have these kinds of odd issues.
