i report the photo here to create a more understandable topic. ok so the screw just hold the cables and the magic is with the solder! Why ultimaker didn't choose a screw connector to make the connection just with the screw? When yesterday i unmounted the plate i thought the contact was made by the screw and not by the solder. Now it's clear. Ok tomorrow i will check mine.

i have and can use the soldering iron.. just need to understand if the solder to renew is the one of the plate connector (and if yes wich one)or the one of the board under the u2. No picture above... :mrgreen:

Ok this is frustrating. Every week a new problem appear and i really do not enjoying my new 3d printer. The print bed do not heat up. As consequence of that i have warp as i say and show in this post: http://umforum.ultimaker.com/index.php?/topic/4228-detachment-from-the-plate/&do=findComment&comment=34933 Now i undestood that the problem is the bed that do not heat up. Before it did works, now it does not. Before what? (maybe the firmware upgrade). As i say in another topic an error showed up: http://umforum.ultimaker.com/index.php?/topic/4227-is-leaving-the-ultimaker2-alone-safe/&do=findComment&comment=35061 Today it showed up again and this time i made a photo. As suggested in the former topic, i checked if the connection of the cable was ok (the temp sensor cable under the plate) and the cables are not loosy and well tight. But i thighten them just tobe sure. I opened a ticket..... But nothing or none answered yet. What i have to do with my new ultimaker2?

done but nothing... if i try to heat up the buildplate it starts right from 85°C...(the measured temp) and i don't think could be right since i've just turned it on and is completely cold... must be something else.

looking and touching quickly they do not seems to be loosen.. is really necessary to try?

My versions are Ultimaker 2: 14.01.2 and Cura 14.01 and the led setting does not work anymore everywhere. You just can't set the brightness anymore during the print or not.

well but that should have compromise the heating since the begin... Instead i think that this is happening after the firmware upgrade...

Ok i'm making a print right now and i noticed that the plate is not so hot... in the buildplate temp tune says 102C/70C and the left is going down to reach the right temperature... but if i touch the plate with my hand..it's almost cold.. i think that i would feel something like 70°C! Yes, this is exactly what i fear. About thermostat, two days ago i started a print and in the time the nozzle need to warm up i went in front of the computer. After some minutes, everything was silent so i checked and the display showed me an error due to the thermostat or the temperature sensor of the plate. Something like "thermostat problem please contact ultimaker" then i turn off the ultimaker and turn on and everything was ok. Is something that i need to take care or it's a bug?

just seen a 3 hours print...with.. warp.. aborted again. I placed the glue... my bed was 80°....this thing is totally random..

thank you. Happen sometimes like that or for the support column that cura creates. But that seems more a mechanical issue: the print head to print the next level of the support slightly touch it and not the first, not the second, not the third but the maybe after a while it detach the column... and clearly it damage the print. By the way i'm finding the support created from cura really hard to remove without damaging the print.

the temperature feedback is in someway able to shut it down or start a security system? Or something like that?

Well this is make me a sigh of relief... the only night i started a print i wasn't able to sleep well for fear that something would happen. But which is the worst case scenario?
