  1. Hi, since i need to make several long time prints.. i would need to do it at night to gain time. My printer is in my lab and i was wondering if is safe to leave it alone. Is there any problem or dangerous behaviour which makes this a dangerous thing?
  2. Do you know usually how many meters have a 0.75kg spool? Thank you
  3. The estimate of the time continue to be really different from what says cura and what says the ultimaker 2.. something of hours not minutes.. like Cura: 4 H and U2: 7 H. Why? I heard that should have been solved with the last upgrade...but apparently is not.
  4. The led brightness tuning does not work anymore since last update.
  5. i'd like to make firmware plugin. Well actually i would but i don't think to be able to do it right now. A pause option in the settings (during printing) could be something difficult to add to the firmware?
  6. No i don't think is the backlight. It started to flicker between the final screen of the print (the one that says that the print it's ok to be taken) and the "home" menù where you decide what to do. Is something related the new firmware?
  7. Sorry i did not mention i was speaking about Ultimaker 2. Is there anything similar?
  8. I've seen the plugin you are talking about but i think is for a pre defined pause at some z. I would like to pause printing in any moment i want. In another topic seems that is possible but sincerely i do not have tried yet on the Um2. Anyhow ,i will take a look to the page you show me. Thank you.
  9. Hi, i was wondering if there is a documentation page or walkthroug to follow to create a plugin for cura. For example to do that: http://umforum.ultimaker.com/index.php?/topic/4087-feature-request-pause/
  10. Lucky you! I can't even count how many times i aborted a print! But your way to manage the situation is something that i would like to try.. So you manually edit the gcode file? and how you positioned perfectly the print?(Or you never move it from where it was?)
  11. After the last print, the screen started to flicker. Why?
  12. Well, the movement of the bowden tube is a drammatical issue with um2. Can we print a red clip higher so the gray holder pressure is more firm?
  13. Hi, is possible to pause a print? I do not mean to set a pause in the gcode file.. i mean whenever i want during the print to pause (to solve a problem, to change a filament, to unblock the nozzle). Is it possible to implement this in the tune menù?
  14. i think is what happen to me. Today i unmounted the head because my nozzle is again clogged.. and i saw a big clog under the teflon.. so the great distance between the teflon and the nozzle could be a problem. Now i'm on my way to reduce the distance but i think that less than 3 mm it's impossible. Seems that the metal part (the one you screw on the nozzle ) is somehow full of plastic that block the teflon to go down. I think that this is a big and common problem for what i read in the forum. The bowden tube pop up.. and i think that the responsible is the red clip that is too low to let the blades hold the tube.
  15. Here we are! The bowden holder is made of plastic... i don't have any piece of metal inside!
  16. What do you mean with blades? The metal thumb screws? aren't they only for a hold together purpose?
  17. The bowden tube positioned himselw how i former showed you, that's why i had to unmount the head and make things in the right position. By now it's 3 time i do this job. I really did not damage anything...because there is nothing to damage... the clip seems ok (the same dimensions of the one behind) the tube seems a simple tube.. and the grey part (the one that hold the tube) seems ok but maybe it's his fault that the tube is loose... So what i have to do? Now it's everytime i start a print. At the first retraction it brings back the tube outside of the white teflon part. But the tube do not seems scraped or else and once fixed, manually do not seems to be loose. But is not.
  18. sure! i think that too... but what i have to do if it loose itself?
  19. yes i noticed the boiling! And also the different temperature for filaments.. So what i have to do? Every time set the right temp manually based on the filament? Is there a way to set it in the gcode so u2 do all alone?
  20. yes. This is random but happen often. I mean of a print total of 10, at least 5 was problematic due to a low flowing or totally blocked nozzle. And when happen in a long print that starts great and then (when you leave) fails...it sucks!
  21. it's normal the default setting for pla is 260°? It's seems the limit for pla...
  22. It seems that the blocked nozzle is THE PROBLEM of the ultimaker2.
  23. Well, today 3 prints gone wrong. Why? the damn nozzle alway get stuck!!! It's really frustrating when you are printing fine for 5 hours and the suddenly the filament stop flowing because it's stucked! How it's possible?? I'm going to think that the materials are low quality or something. Half print gone.
  24. Now i have a strange behavior: The bowden tube does not remains in his position! It raise itself outside of the "white tube" The red clips does not do anything.. Right position: https://plus.google.com/116867274133488266077/posts/PsXVpQKSqNv Wrong position after some minutes of printing: https://plus.google.com/116867274133488266077/posts/TsrAEwrbi6x How can i solve this?
