  1. Ok IRobertl's Feeder that i corrected and made usable is now published https://www.youmagine.com/designs/um2feeder-v3
  2. The PLA is Rubbing somewhere.... probably one of the holes is to tight.
  3. I personally dont care how the Design looks...... i just care about that it works perfectly and with less hazzle and maintance. Efficiency>Looks
  4. Well i did buy a Ultimaker 2 and noticed the plug and use marketing.... but even from the photos i could telll it wouldnt be like that. I bought it because of the very good basic product. Heated Bed+ Dual Extrusion later on seem a good thing to me. The basic Idea seems very good to me actually. Though i would apprececiate to reuse the screw for tinkering with the pressure that is put on the filament.
  5. Problem is though you cant accept jobs afaik unless you are unlocked.
  6. Fans can have a slightly different starting voltage, that is completely normal. 1 Printhead Fan of my ultimaker starts at 20% the other at 25%. The Voltage needed to keep the Fan spinning is always lower than the starting voltage.
  7. You could always get another stepper motor to compare? They are not that costly. This is the model: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10846 German Seller: http://www.exp-tech.de/Servos-und-Motoren/Stepper-Motor-68-oz-in-400-steps-rev.html
  8. Ok i just did Illu's Extrusion test with 120% Material Flow and my feeder never clicked back. the lines also measured around 0.48ish so i think i can say i can now print with 12mm³/s (although i had to go up to 240°C to get that material through the nozzle)
  9. i meant how it was fed into the feeder..... against its natural bending, with, neutral or straightend by hand.
  10. You will want to make that out of PLA so you dont have a chance of a clog when you print with PLA if some bits break out. Also how was the material fed in in your last test?
  11. Thank you Daid, you saved us all quite some time we would have otherwise needed to measure things out ^^ Could you also post the CAD files pls?
  12. Here is my new Spoolholder which feeds the material into the bowden in its natural bending. Enjoy guys ^^ https://www.youmagine.com/designs/ultimaker-2-spool-and-feeder-holder
  13. Well i only have a UM2 and never used blue tape..... so i hope the question is answered ^^
  14. after 4 ot 5 bed levels you wont need the paper anymore trust me. also at UM they seem to use very cheap and thin paper XD
  15. http://umforum.ultimaker.com/index.php?/topic/3976-almost-always-missing-layers-underextruding/ what layer thickness are you printing in?
  16. Nope.... i am luckily..... But i have run several scenarios in my head how it would turn out if i would fuck up. Also i dont think you took to much. first you need to fix the temp-sensor. If the oil got on the filament you will notice anyways so why not try before cleaning everything without reason.
  17. I said a tiny drop.... if you are not carefull and some of the oil get on the filament things could get real messy very fast.... depending on the exact oil you use it will not vaporize in the head and you can start a real nice cleaning session ^^
  18. Well... i will test that when i got some new filament..... i am nearly out right now
  19. Ok i took the printerhead and the feeder apart.... now i can print to the 10th layer without fails, though that one gives me headaches. That one was a complete desaster. Though i can atleast do it with the spool on the filament holder and i dont need to straighten it ^^ Laziness for the Win. YAY!
  20. btw you are also printing on the raw glass?# pro-tip: if you make the model and dont want that edge at the bottom of the print add a 0.5mm radius to the bottom
