    @Daid: What exactly is the meaning of the heater error?

    i have the same problem since 14.12

    fan 100 % on the first layer ------> heater error

    fan 50 % on the first layer ------> heater error

    fan 20 % on the first layer -----> OK

    Pour confirmer ta théorie du mauvais pas en Z as tu essayé d'installé la version du firmware de @tinkergnome pour visualiser ta position ?

    Je viens de recevoir un mail ce matin d'un certain @tinkergnome avec qui je discute au sujet de ce fameux firmware modifié, et bim ! cadeau de fin d'année :)

    En gros vous téléchargez le ZIP ensuite MARLIN --> RESOURCES --> FIRMWARE --> deux fichier .hex, un pour la simple extrusion et l'autre pour la double (dual)

    Allumer l'imprimante, brancher en usb.

    Ouvrir CURA --> Machine --> install Custom Firmware --> ouvrir le fichier .hex en question

    J'ai recommencé la manip d'installation car le premier transfert n'a pas fonctionné ( j'ai déjà eu ce souci....bref )

    Comment ça marche ?

    En gros il y a deux mode maintenant :

    Le "NORMAL" rien ne change.

    Le "GEEK MODE" ça j'adore !

    Pour activer le geek mode : Maintenance -> Advanced -> Expert settings

    Dans ce mode il y a donc un nouvel affichage pendant le print avec le Z ( darkdvd doit sourir ! ), il est possible de modifier en direct sans revenir dans le "TUNE" certains paramètres.

    Le réglage du plateau et déplacé dans le menu maintenance.

    Voilà de ce que j'ai eu le temps de voir ce matin.

    Naturellement je l'ai essayé et ça marche ;)

    My good resolution for this year : Stop the RHUM....the same as last year... :)

    Ok, we return to our sheep ( french expression - back to the topic )

     

    Additionally: what about using the bottom line for status messages - and showing the menu buttons only "on demand" (i.e. only after scrolling or clicking the wheel)?

     

    Good idea,more space for information and more visibility.

    I'd take the descriptive variant. Not all icons are clear and one might forget their meaning if they don't look at the display very often.

     

    i agree with @Nicolinux.

    Icon Temperature : good, an idea...." icon " 260 " C " replaced by " icon " 260 " ° ", it's possible ?

    And the same icon for the bed temperature.

    Icon Fan : it is possible to animate ? Only when the fans turn ?

    Icon Speed, Flow and Bed temperature : they are strange no ?

    Icon time : good simple and effective.

    merci bien pour le lien (et du coup aussi la première partie) mais le truc c'est que je ne capte pratiquement pas un mot d'anglais :-|... Pourrai tu m'expliqué brièvement ce qu'il faut faire / ce que sa dit ?

     

    En gros, un jour le mec décide de mettre des ventilateurs du type radial ( plus puissant que les notre ) pour refroidir les couches.

    Il s'est aperçu que c'était tellement puissant que le filament se refroidissait instantanément à la sortie de buse.

    Donc tu télécharge ce tube :

    Ensuite tu ouvres dans CURA

    layer height : 2 mm

    shell thickness : 0.04 mm

    Spiralize : on ( dans le menu expert )

    Fan : 100 %

    Une vitesse trés lente aussi.

    Ensuite tu visualise le tube en mode " layers "....et ....magie :)

    Tu peux essayer avec des ventilateurs axiaux mais pas sur que ça marche.

    I suggest to use the first line for the M117 messages - instead of the filename - or perhaps switchable...?

     

    I think the filename is an important value, because it validates what I print.

    Imagine : I print--> I drink--> I print --> I drink --> I print --> I look the girl next door --> I drink --> I kiss my wife --> I drink............but......what i print ?.....ok...go to sleep :)

     

    The temperature values side by side in one line and below the same for the flow rate(s) could be a logical order... mmmhhhh let's see...

     

    it is a good idea because the XT ( colorfabb ) requires precise adjustment of flow.

    hi the tinkergnome.

    Yes it is the same topic in the french thread. People want to see the Z position and other ( time, flow , etc...) during the print.

    But the problem is that , there are no people know compile a firmware ( in the french forum ).

    We are newbies ;)

    We are interested in your firmware changes , although....

     

    The .hex-files in my github-repo are not functional yet (probably related to wrong linker options)

     

    If you have a .hex file ( bad or not ) I want to try.

    Malheuresement ultimprint les supports laisserons toujours une marque...

    Une alternative sera possible avec la double extrusion car tu pourras imprimer ces supports avec un filament soluble à l'eau qui laissera beaucoup moins de traces voir pas du tout.

    Patience....;)
