  1. What does that green dot next to my user name in the upper right corner mean? It doesn't seem to be a notification that anything in there requires my attention.
  2. Aparently I get multiple notifications on this site for replies in the same thread.
  3. Warum?
  4. When I click on the notifcation "Topic: XYZ has (1) reply" I get thrown to the very first posting, not to the first unreat reply on page 35.
  5. Aparently this forum has no email notifications. There seem to be a dozen replies waiting for me that I never knew about. (And yes, I am using "[X] Follow and receive reply notifications")
  6. I ordered this one for me: http://www.ideato3d.be/boutique/upgrades/ultimaker-2-extended-door/ They also make a door for the regular sized and the go -version. PS: This forum software sucks. It regularly forgets postings I try to send either due to captcha or login(timeout) or because for some reason it forces me to select a "use case" and thus leave the forum part.
  7. Should a larger nozzle (0.8 or 1.0mm instead of 0.4) allow me to use smaller layer-heights and thus better vertical surface finish and detail if horizontal details are not the concern? Currently I use 0.020 and 0.015mm (20 micron and 15 micron) and the limit seems to be that the flow rate of the extruder(smooth motion) and of the hot-end (heat creep=expansion) can't go lower then this while the Z-drive has 5 micron per full step.
  9. Given the table at http://3dprintingindustry.com/2015/11/25/colorfabb-launches-ngen-easy-to-print-functional-filament/ the processing temperature range is more narrow and with a larger difference to the room temperature then even PLA. I have no clue how they meassure "printability" and what "surface clarity" is supposed to be.
  10. I'm tempted to buy it with the Black Friday deal. From the description it seems to be more reliable and I'm all for reliability. The glass transition temperature is 85°C (+25°C compared to PHA/PLA) but the difference to the printing temperature is neglectable as it prints 20°C warmer. It also needs the heated bed to be warmer. I got the following reply regarding vapour smoothing: " We haven't tried any smoothing with nGen with aceton, but it most likely does not work." No questions regarding how to compare ngen with XT and PHA/PLA was answered. They do gave a guide on how to use it http://plus.url.google.com/url?sa=j&url=http%3A%2F%2Fngen.colorfabb.com%2Fhow%2F&uct=1430994695&usg=bMROlh7KzuUDrJejZM2n6vM-vCg. but there is no information to tell if XT or ngen is better for any specific task.
