  1. I just bought a new one so not looking anymore.
  2. I have a 2+ I am thinking of selling. I am half keen on selling it. May I ask what you expect to pay?
  3. I've owned a few of these machines and there have been updates but also some slight hardware updates. The good thing about buying a demo that was used regularly is they would have maintained it and did the updates that were required on a hardware level. Anything that would have needed to be replaced would have. I would not be afraid of it, if priced right.
  4. I have an Ultimaker 2 extender + for sale. I am located in CZ. I would prefer pickup sale. I travel a lot within EU, so I can possibly meet a country neighbouring and deliver. Works perfect, no problems. Reason of sale. I currently have an S5, I am looking at buying another S5 as I want to speed up my production speed by 2 times and I really need dual extruder for PVA supports. Currently the printer only prints jobs that require no supports. One advantage the U2 over the S3 and S5 it does not have self leveling bed. I actually dislike this feature because once the bed is leveled perfectly and you need to print a very small part for testing, it does not need to run this procedure every single print..... so on really small 15min prints its a huge time saving. Also the ability to tune a print while loading is nice, S3 and S5 you must wait around to all these self test are complete before you can manually change a setting. So with the U2 you can just start a print, adjust the settings is need be and walk away. Reason for the print bed to be that colour. Thats paper glue. I always leave it from last print, this printer does small jobs and on this printer the glue stick works nicely for me. It does not really include anything as I am not getting out of the market of printing, so all my extra's I keep for the S5, but I can throw in some figment after we speak..... I have heaps of unused and different colours......
  5. As the title says, looking at buying another s5. I prefer to inspect it. So if you have one in EU I dont mind driving a day to have a look. I am located in CZ.
  6. SOLVED: There is a bug.... In my first post I wrote a list of what I did to try and solves this. It seems they have fixed something in an update half way through my solving because the end result the bug is: With my Gcode, plus Flow Sensor unplugged and Flow Sensor disabled this errors shows. Also, with this exact Gcode on a different S5 with Flow Sensor disabled and unplugged it shows the same error. We have yet to identify what is wrong with my Gcode. With the Distributor's Gcode everything works fine and they were only able to get my Gcodes working if Flow sensor was plugged in and not disabled. So now I can use it with this in this state. I did try this anyway at the start, but they think when I updated it, it changed something. We dont know if its when I updated Cura or the S5. But I have it working 😄
  7. The flow sensor has not been working for the life of the printer. I never worried about it as I cam from the UM 2 and it doesnt have one. I have disabled them both after following: Thanks also for the recommendation Priddy,
  8. Do you mean this? This was done directly after it crashed and only way was to restart it then capture the log files then. cap_Ultimaker-00b763_2019-02-14_10.20.13_N0_X186.5Y213.5.zip
  9. Do this at your own risk. You can extend the printer build plate size in the settings you have posted. I also ran into the same problem as you and increased it just 5mm and that was enough. This worked on the UM 2+ I have never tried on my S5 so I can not say it works for all system.
  10. I have flow sensor disabled but never tried to unplug it and print it. I will try. Thanks.
  11. I did not try to print directly from Cura over wifi. Never done this before. I will try it.

  13. From first looks it seems to me just looking at the end product that in your CURA settings the S5 has higher height of layers. Have you checked the CURA settings? - to see if they are the same. S3 looks fine and S5 looks draft quality.
  14. Depending your work environment temp and humanity levels can affect the figment. If it gets too soft sometimes the feeder can not grip it enough. To test the proper way, remove the figment and just check if you have lots of wear at the point just after you feed the figment into the UM. What happens is the figment gets too soft and the feeder can not grip it and it just wears it out at that point. The printer thinks its still feeding through. To fix this in future you can remove about 3 cm at the end of the current figment, that would make the part that was worn a little past the point of part of the UM that feeds it. Then adjust the tension for it to feed better. Depending on your environment you might have to make it less hard or more easy for it to proper grip. I am talking at the back where you feed the figment into the UM there should be a bolt to adjust and a level meter to see. depending on you UM. I have S2 and S5 and they both have this.
  15. Someone please help.... I am desperate ... I have this error message: An unspecified error has occurred in the motion controller. Restored to default settings. This message appears just before its started to print. So after the bed levelling and pre warmup. What I have done so far, not in order and maybe I missed a few things: restored to default settings reset to factory settings calibrated lift switch downgraded firm where from 5.8.2 to 5.8.1 upgraded to 6.1.0 contacted ultimate distributor. was told to clean it. cleaned it again. still same problem 1 week passed sent it to Distributor they said the removed some plastic from the shaft and it worked. sent it back to me and had same error 2 weeks passed resisted throwing out the winder for 2nd time. Then I thought it could be my USB stick. and formatted it. used different USB stick installed Cura 4.8.0 installed Cura 4.5 tried again on 4.6 resisted throwing out the window for 5th time. tried basic settings on Cura tried default settings on Cura Ask the Distributor to send the file they printed. They sent me a file I sent them that they configured in Cura, I downloaded it and printed it directly. I used their file in my Cura and exported it to USB Thinking I will enjoy burning it now.... But its snowing outside... really worried about my S2... its getting twice the load.... my first child is going strong without a single hiccup.. 😄 I will give a 200 euro reward to anyone that works out the problem. I will send via paypal.
