  1. Yeah thanks for helping me out on youtube with the leveling matter. funny you mention this about ABS because that happened to me the first print. leveled the bed to the point the calibration card is just not touching it. this in combination with magigoo works great. PETG for that matter sticks perfectly without glue and comes of superclean.
  2. Purchased this system a while ago but haven't got to installing it yet. Mostly because i read of people where the leveling process pinges into the bed. So you use the manual bed leveling process i assume, since you talk about using alot of the spring travel. (which still is an issue i guess?) or do you just screw it down so the system is about 14mm and let the auto level do its work?
  3. This is just one of many examples. I've tried tinkering with roof density, interface patterns etc. but it seems to like eachother to much? same problem with tough pla. Great with nylon tho. am i just the noob that can't get it right or is this stuff overrated if it comes to the regular plastics?
  4. bumping this topic. hope you found some answers. do you have the airfilter as well? having the same problem, same machine. did have some good results but from a set of 7, only 1 came out real good. very inconsistent.
  5. cabinet handle with a ball catch mounted inside for the printer enclosure, tough pla
  6. What's going on guys, I'm JJ (Jan-Jaap for the dutchies) and just a couple of months fresh into the printing world. Work as a one man army with metals, from welding to cad-design to automotive sheet metal. have my own shop and once in a while i do some prototyping. used an Ender 3 pro from a friend once in a while (awesome prints for the money) but decided i wanted one that has more reliability for different materials so i can use them as end products. Bought a used S5 from 2021 and purchased the air manager couple of days later. Build the whole thing into the wall of the office so i can reach it from both sides and hopefully it keeps the dust from grinding and welding out a little bit. also added a mirror for the main camera, a cheap camera on top and a weatherstation to keep an eye on it when i'm gone. was already browsing this forum for a while and had a lot of questions answered by reading but i do have one unanswered.. don't have a material station yet or a filament dryer so i'm drying my nylon on the print bed. Is there any way to turn off the fan without deinstalling it? just for drying material, although i can imagine it dries faster with a bit of air flow i don't feel like changing the filter at some point just for drying? Thanks for reading!
