No support generated under interior overhangs.

I'm trying to print a part that has snap features, but overhanging ledges that are inside the part are not getting support generated under them. How do I get Cura to make these?

click the little white box behind the "everywhere" support setting, this will take you to the expert settings. Look at what angle is noted there, I guess the default is 60. Change it to zero and look if something changed in the layers view.

If you're the one who designed the part I'd advice you to just go ahead and create support yourself, it'll give you less head aches. I think a thin, 0.5mm, wall from the lip of the snap feature down to the rest of the model with a 0.2mm spacing on "each side" would allow the printer to bridge the rest on its own and it will remove with basically no trace.
