Model not sliced correctly

I am currently trying to print this thing: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:271735

On the files BWG-Elevation-Assembly and BWG-Upper-Alidade, I cant seem to get Cura (15.06.03) to slice the parts correctly. Here's a view of how BWG-Upper-Alidade _should_ look like:

but when actually viewing the sliced layers, there is a hole in the part:

When I rotate the object around, it gets sliced correctly:

Is there any way I could fix this?

Sorry, im not that much into 3d modelling. As I mentioned earlier im using a object from thingiverse. I opened the model up in sketchup but can't say exactly how much it is because sektchup just tells me ~0mm. The wall is getting quite thin at that part so maybe its less than the nozzle size of my UM2? Is there any way to say "okay, just print it anyway"?

The wall is way too thin...

Cura slices it if you choose a nozzle diameter of 0.2 or less.

I think it's not a reasonable print... Look at the comments on thingiverse... you're not alone...

    You could:

    a) Scale the objects

    b) Change the nozzle size on cura to 0.31-0.39 (I never tried on cura but I play with this on s3d with good sucess)

    c) Use a smaller nozzle

Okay so I just installed blender and extruded the area some more. Not perfectly round anymore but I dont care much (for now). Thanks everyone for helping me to troubleshoot this.

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
