Problem with "one at a time" mode

So, I've been printing large batches of models for a friend, and I've been printing them in one at a time mode.  And, well, this has been happening:

As you can see, first model comes out fine, but after that, it's like its retracting when it finishes one and not advancing before it starts the next.  Now, these guys are printed with a brim, so it hasn't caused a problem, but I do have some pieces coming up soon that won't have the brim.  Any ideas?

I think there is a bug in one-at-a-time mode where it retracts then resets everything and forgets that it retracts and then retracts again and then unretracts. Maybe see if the bug is in cura 2.1.2?

The simplest solution is probably to use skirt. If you don't use brim then it will instead use skirt be default. Make sure the skirt is a minimum length (maybe 200mm?) to get the extruder flowing again.
