Placing my .STL diagonally

Hello,

I have a larger item to print and can only do it by placing it diagonally. Weird thing is that CURA automatically scales it smaller. Even with switching off the auto scale feature it keeps doing it.

I assume that even diagonally it won't work but why doesn't it show me(grey), as it does when I load it up flat?

Any ideas here?

Thanks.

are you referring to the measurements of the x - y -z? (scale is still at 1.0)

because these measurements are the 'bounding box' of your model, and not the actual length of your model. Try to rotate your model in this position so the length of the model is in the x direction and see what the size is.. It will grey out but will show if your model is scaled or not..
