Feeding motor is not feeding while printing

I still have the original fan on it.

I found the lines in the gcode but if I change these, I have to change them everytime I print a new piece or what?

You were right, the temperature after the fan runs falls down to under 170 degrees, and then the fan turns of.

I would give you some more additional details but I don't know exactly what you need.

Show me a photo of the head, frontal shoot and close ups.

About how to change the fan, you just need to set it to less than 100% on Cura.

Don't worry we can work this out.

You can see the pictures of the extruder in appendix.

If those pictures don't satisfy your needs, I can take other photographs.

I found another setting page in cura, which one do you think I should activate?

Well yea, activate that options and use something like this (you can change it until you find the correct spot)

    BUT MOST IMPORTANT

Your fan cap is not ok installed!

    ultimaker-original-plus-03.thumb.png.a4921017d735b326a91918c2987149a2.png

As you can see and compare, your fancap is blowing air DIRECTLY into the Aluminium Heater Block. That's what is making the problem. Is cooling the hotend, instead of shooting air into the print. SO

    a) Fix it?

    b) Print a fancap like the UMO has like this: https://www.youmagine.com/designs/ultimaker-fanduct-replacement

This WILL remove the problem 100%

Also, if you change the fan cap, you can set the fan setting at 100% at layer 2 like you already had, but I think the settings I left you on the image should work better for most prints.

I keep scrolling up and down at his photos and the reference one.

How his fan lines up with the heater block looks ok.

That vinyl shroud does direct down but like Neo says, you can print a better one that moves the air around nicer.

No @lepaul his fan is inside the leather fancap, so it's 30mm up from its position and blowing air into the alu block instead of just the print area.

I fixed this now with the fan. Thank you very much for helping me to solve the problem. After this one I got another one.... The cable from the extruder always goes out of the fixation. I don't know how to solve this, maybe you can help me with this one out too, would be great, I think this is not a great problem.

But thanks again, you were very helpful!

Maybe the grib on the bowden is eroded. Cut 5mm of the bowden and put the bowden clip. It shouldn't pop out after that.

That's the white part that clips the bowden. On the UMO feeder is grey. As you can see on the link is very cheap and any Ultimaker reseller has it (I think...).

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
