On the picture I tried to show what goes wrong:

The X axle can move left and right very easy in its holder in such a way that it can touch the side of the UM leaving a scratch (see right arrow). This off course influences the print.

The axle left-right movement is probably caused by a crack in the holder it’s hard to see but the left arrow is pointing on the crack. Both axle holders have this crack. The axe comes out of the holder very easy because of all this.

Is it possible to replace the two holders? I could not find them in the spare parts shop.

Off course you might also be wondering how those cracks came in there in the first place. I think they are there for a while know, because a year ago something went wrong and the print head got full of material and was kind of exploded. I however am not sure that the cracks where there since….

What else could have caused these cracks in the holders? And what keeps the axle from not moving left and right (I am now assuming the holders)?

thanks!

Obviously your machine is still under warranty, so if you're not comfortable repairing the slider blocks yourself get in touch with your re-seller, and have it done for you.
