Hello Everybody,

We are planing to buy an Ultimaker 3, mainly for printing spare Parts.

During evaluation, we designed a part that can uses the maximum bulidarea of 215x215mm

However I wasn't able to place this part in Cura 2.7 in a way, that would print.

Even afer loading the "max build voume" profile for the UM3.

I was also missing an option to "auto place" or "auto scale"?

How big is the actual usable print area?

Can I get rid of the grey areas on the left and front area of the printbed?

The shadow area in the front left is the clip that holds the glass plate in place. You can't print there.

With the UM3, you can print 215 wide, you can print 215 deep, but you cannot print a square of 215x215, because there are certain areas where you can't print (notably in the corners).
