Cura 2.7 and Formbot T-Rex 2+

Hey all,

I've been using my ultimaker 3 for the last year or so and loving it, but I just got a Formbot T-Rex 2+ and have been using Cura 15.04.6.  I'd like to use Cura 2.7 (or 3.0 now) with both machines.  I'm still pretty G-Code illiterate.

So, I could use some help setting up 2.7.  When I add a new printer, there's a section for start/end g-code.  I see those settings on the 15.x.x version, and assume I can just cut and paste that into the 2.7, but 2.7 also has g-code start/end for extruder 1 and 2.  I have no idea what to put there, or where to find that on 15.x.x.

Any help would be appreciated, also, I tried googling for instructions, but fell flat.  If there's a link out there, just point me towards it :)

Thanks!

3 months and no answer?

I am in the same boat. Just got my T-rex v2+ a couple weeks ago and use Cura with a Lulzbot TAZ 6 at woek. I'd like to keep using Cura.

I'm trying to take the start gcode from S3D and putting it in the Cura start gcode generator. It hasn't worked correctly yet. I, too, am mostly gcode illiterate, but There are gcode cheat sheets on the interweb. I'll try to decipher where the break down (stalling after going to he home position) is occurring. If I can get it to work, I'll let you know.

hey everybody with a trex2+ i have mine working on cura 3.2.1. ill screenshot my progress for you all. btw i am a member of the formbot printer facbook groups but keep my activity mostly on the main formbot one not the trex one which i think is kind of the old group superseded now. just as a disclaimer i have fumbled my way through this process and have a way to go before its as clean as the old version of cura with the provided profiles but i have it purging in both buckets and printing dual extruder mode. my profiles are a bit obscure because im developing one per project and i use a pair of 0.6mm tips. but the machine settings are good...ish. enough to build from

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
