What do you mean by passes? You can reduce the size of the tower, if that helps? If you type in "prime" in the search box you'll see all the settings for the prime tower that are available. Each setting has an explanation if you hover over it with your mouse.

Thanks for responding. What I mean by “ passes” is how many times the extruder adds layers to the tower. Mine seems to be making excessive passes and seems to be wasting filiment. So that’s what I wanted to know, if there is an available setting that changes this.

    Well you can change the tower size for that, or the tower thickness, i guess that of you want only one pass you can set it to the line width, but this will make your tower quite weak so it might break and mess up the print

    The tower needs a new layer added to it for each new layer of the model to "keep up" with the rest of the print. This can't be changed. If we didn't build the tower at the same speed as the real model it would mean the bed would have to go up and down for the priming and that would cause the print to crash into the gantry of the printer.

     

    Is that what you meant?
