Bridge problem in Cura 3.1

I faced the problem of printing bridges in Cura 3.1 (in Cura 3.2 I haven't checked yet).

I tried to print two test models, one test bridges at different temperatures, the second - calibration cube with holes (one hole is at the bottom and requires bridges).

Printed from Cura and slic3r PE, with close settings. In Slic3r there is a setting - "bridge printing Speed", however in Cura I could not find such a setting.

The print result of the temperature test: 2-Cura.jpg and 2-Slic3r.jpg.

Because of the poor quality print of the bridges there are 2 other problems:

  1. printing of a continuous layer over filling occurs with breaks "threads" the surface contains a lot of torn holes;
  2. printing with a step change in the density of fillings fails, because the "thread" of the next stage simply fall between the frame of the previous filling

Please help me how to configure Cura. I really like tactics that uses Cura when printing.

This is great!  I love seeing some experimentation on the forum!!

 

1) Please show the first 2 photos again.  Please show all the temperatures instead of just two temperatures. (please zoom out)

 

2) In the first photos - what speed(s) did you use for printing speeds and for bridging speeds.  

 

3) Is it only the bridge speed that makes the difference?  What happens if:

bridge speed = slicing speed

??

I mean if in cura you slow down all the speeds to your bridge speed that you used in slicer will it really looks just as good?  Or is there more that slicer is doing besides setting the speed?

 

This is a really great post and maybe enough to get Cura designers to add a bridging speed feature.

    Extruder temp.: 240 - 210 °C

    Bed temp.: 70 °C

    Base speed: 60 mm/s

    There are no settings to adjust speed and flow of bridges in Cura 3.2, yet. The awesome @smartavionics has been working on getting that supported in a future version; see the work in progress here https://github.com/Ultimaker/Cura/issues/1177 and here https://github.com/Ultimaker/Cura/pull/3175

    History with settings looks like this:
    I downloaded the configuration file for Slic3r from the manufacturer of the filament "Filamentarno!".
    Printed in Slic3r.
    Then in Cura 3, took the recommended setting for the 0.2 mm layer and changed based on The slic3r settings.
    But I could not find where to enter the speed of printing bridges.

    "Filamentarno!"/Slic3r print speed of bridges = 20 mm/s

    Not, the base speed is the speed at which all other speeds are calculated.
