Cura modifies model

Dear all, 

I became pretty frustrated when I tried to slice my bed leveleling test square. it is a 50 by 50 mm modeled in fusion, extruded to my initial layer height (.3 mm), and exported as .STL. When I open the file in Cura (using 3.4.1) it shows normally in the solid view. Then when I slice it and go to layer view it makes it into some rectangle with a kind of staircase layering. also the skirt is off. The video should be pretty clear. Other models I load into cura slice perfectly normal. So if this is a problem with the .STL, does anyone know what it might be? Thanks to anyone taking the time to reply.

Err. That is weird. What do you see if you look at the model in xray mode? Could you try and run the model through a model fixing tool?

There is no way to see what is wrong with the STL unless you upload it to be checked. I would be happy to do so.

Had a few things coming in between but anyway I got simplify3d and the issue is gone. thanks for the help.
