That's a tricky print, but a pleasing result, but btw the "Printing Guidelines" link just takes you to the product page now.

Question: Would this be a good candidate for the BB print core?

Also, it would be awesome to have a way to leverage the way these kinds of filament react to temperature variations to produce grain effects. You can do that with post-processing but that's just flat layer-by-layer and the end result is an mdf/plywood effect rather than grain.

I've printed a number of parts using woodfill and copperfil.  I would not try this on a BB core.  Indeed, once you get to 0.4 and below on an AA core, the printer needs to be monitored for clogging.  I do like the results though!

The way solids are suspended in the filament makes both of them somewhat prone to clogging if your print involves retraction.  I have run them in a hardcore (AA) down to 0.25 nozzle, but that works for short duration prints only, after which I have to do both hot and cold pulls to clear things out.  I'm not sure it would be possible to clear out a BB nozzle without doing harm to it.

This thread is related, I hope this helps.

     Have fun

I loaded WoodFill Materials via Cura > Marketplace > Materials

but Cura Says Profile is not Supported, what is wrong 😏

That's easy to answer but probably not very satisfying to you.... 😏

It's the wrong printer and the wrong nozzle size.

If you install this material from the marketplace you get quality profiles for AA 0.8 print cores. One for each of these printers: Ultimaker 3, Ultimaker 3 extended, Ultimaker S5, Ultimaker S3

You can still add one of these four printer models to Cura and have a look at the settings, but that's it.

It's not (directly) usable for anything else.

The marketplace website is perhaps more useful for you. There's the list of printers that are supported by this profile and links to the appropriate colorfabb website with general printing advice.
