Ultimaker 3: Filament not extruding?

Hi,

 

When I try to print I can see lines on the glass bed (really thin clear lines), almost no material at all comes out and the bed doesn't slowly move down as it continues. What could be the problem?

Please give us more information, which print core, which filament, which settings. If you can upload the Cura project, it would also helpfully, because then we can see the object and all the settings you use.

 

And, was the printer working before or have you unboxed the printer and this is your first print?

Both printer cores print out like this.

 

Printcore 1: PLA AA

 

Printcore 2: PVA BB

 

The cura projects are added, both printed out similar with just the lines as previously posted.

 

The printer did work previously, it was run by some students of mine and they created a little robot and a boat.

So you have loaded PLA material in Print Core 1 and PVA in Print Core 2, right?

Your picture looks like you print the object with PVA and not PLA. Have you checked which extruder is selected in Cura for printing the object?

You must also check which extruder should print the object like that:

Just wanted to update and close the thread. One of our printers had to be unclogged, that was one thing. The other thing is that before we print anything (if we haven't just recently) we move the filament to make sure some of it comes out of the printer head first, then we print.

 

In addition, we disabled the "automatic levelling" feature to never. We will manually do it once or twice a week, this held us up all the time and really the items come out pretty well without this double checking feature.
