Better pulleys influencing belts?

Posted · Better pulleys influencing belts?

Hi,

I noticed that after mounting on one of two of my sample pulleys as well. I had an eye on it before ordering the first batch. But so far, after some 100 hours printing, the belts look fine and the black powder didn't become more.

Just probably a machining factor on the pulleys. The teeth may not be very smooth and rob a little rubber off of the rubber teeth of the belts. A agree with the others though, not an issue worth fixing or even giving any thought.

If the belts are in contact with either flange on the pulley, your pulley placement is wrong. The belt position is set by the XY blocks, and the pulley needs to match this.

Loosen one pulley, push slightly in the direction that would separate the belt and flange, tighten slightly, then run the print head back and forth on that axis and re check for a centered belt.
