Cura 13.11 - shell-thickness = nozzle-diam.

Hi

I have discovered a problem in Cura 13.11:

When the nozzle diameter equals the shell thickness the slicer does strange things like leaving out walls on the 0.4mm test cube ( http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:52946 ) or making no walls at all...

Workaround: set the shell thickness to 3.99 instead of 0.4.

Is Shell thickness Problem solved!? I dont believe...

Try printing an Object with Shell thicknes of 2mm in Cura 3.10 and compare it with 3.11. It's not working correctly...

Looks the same to me. Are you using the same nozzle diameter on both?

I forgott... I always use a multiple of the Nozzle Diameter for the Shell... (so it's 2.4mm, not 2.5mm)

If this is really a Problem... why not "autoadjust" the Value to the next lower valid Value, which is a multiple of the Nozzle Diameter?? There ale already Values that give YOu Feed Back when a Value is not correct/valid...

If you guys are going to report a bug Daid is more likely to look into it if you provide a screen shot of the layer view that demonstrates the problem along with explaining what you set nozzle size and shell to. If you make a little extra effort, then maybe Daid will also.

    This.

You're putting a lot of guess work for me here. You just went from 2.0 mm to 2.4 or 2.5, your problem description is vague ("not working correctly" without telling what "correctly" is in your view)

You're also acting like it's a well known problem, while it's the first I heard about it.

Sorry. I wasn't following this thread.

Here is a screenshot of Cura slicing the 0.4mm calibration box from this thing:

    http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:52946

(i have stopped pursuing this routine since it doesn't apply when using Cura)

    cura leaving out walls

This should be a box with four walls instead of three.

I used 0.4mm Nozzle diameter and 0.4mm shell thickness.
