Mid-Solid Raft?

When I slice this file (Basetta_A.stl) it introduces a strange "raft" into the middle of the solid. I have attached photos here.

It is really odd; the slicer creates a top to the bottom section, then a raft-like-structure, then a bottom to the top section. You can see this in the preview, and nothing that I change in the settings seems to affect it. I have tried no-structure, no-adhesion, different layer heights, different wall thicknesses. I am stumped.

Do you know what is triggering this? I even tried using a different slicer program (ideaMaker), which eliminated the raft, but the results were otherwise hideous.

I would like to get this fixed within Cura if at all possible.

The origin of the file was "Skyrim Dragon" on Thingiverse.

Many thanks!

I am not aware of anything in Cura to fix that problem but maybe some other tool can help. It's not my area of expertise but I think, in general, one has to go back and edit the model to fix issues like this.
