Posted · model not printing because this box around it.

hi all! i recently started getting into 3d printing, and my other prints have been successful. however, when importing a model into Cura, it says that the print cannot be done because the object doesn't fit inside the build volume. i have a feeling that this box around the file has something to do with it. any tips?

Yes those 4 triangles are probably the problem.  They are most likely in your STL.  Did you create the STL?  If not try opening it up in meshmixer and deleting them.

You could try right-clicking the model and "ungroup" it. You may have to do that multiple times, but eventually you will get rid of that wireframe "cage" around the model.
