Im new here so if i did anything wrong please tell me.

So im trying to print this peace on my ender 3 and is should fit on the build plate, but i cant slice it because of the gray areas on the left and right.

I tried slicing it in creality slicer and it worked. Only the print qualty of cura is better so id rader use cura,

I was wondering does anyone know how to remove/make the gray boxes on the side smaller?

I already tried to make the build plate bigger in cura but the boxes stay.

Also have removed skirts.

And tried changing some support setting but those things do not help.

    Hi neburmine,

    Welcome in here.

As I can see your model is just to big to fit the heat bed in your Ender 3.

You just need to scale your model down a little and you'll be fine.

Just added two pictures of how.

First picture of a model that's too big.

Next picture with the model scaled down (see text in the picture).

    Thanks

Under "Build Plate Adhesion" settings, you can edit them settings to make the grey area's smaller, turning "Build Plate Adhesion type" settings to "None" will fully remove the grey area's.

Or you can edit the Skirt, Brim & Raft settings to keep some type of adhesion settings why making the grey area's smaller to give self more printing room.

    Basic Preset settings:

    Set to None:
