Void in cylinder is filled

Hi,

I am trying to embed a magnet in an object that I want to print on an Anycubic i3 mega.

I generated a simple test object (cylinder with a void inside, see attachment).

If I slice it with Cura (4.8.0) the void is filled. I already unboxed "Union Overlapping Volumes" and "Remove all holes" without effect.

When I try to slice it in Ideamaker, the void is generated, as it should be.

What am I doing wrong in Cura?

Thank you!

It works fine for me (see pic below).  make sure support is disabled.  Under "mesh fixes" make sure everything is unchecked.  In particular "remove all holes" and "union overlapping volumes".

If you still can't figure it out then send us your project file.  That's much more helpful.  Do "file" "save project...".

    Hi,

    thanks for the replies.

I already had "remove all holes" and "union overlapping volumes" unchecked.

"Make overhang printable" was also unchecked.

Cura crashed yesterday and I could not make it run afterwards (only white screen after each restart).

I completely reinstalled today and now the void is not filled anymore. I get the desired result.

So the re-install seems to have solved the issue.

    Thanks again!
