Difficulty removing support from small part

Could the experts recommend what settings I should have used for this 16 minute print please? My screenshot hopefully shows the problem details clearly. In summary, I enabled support default settings but after several minutes with a tiny screwdriver I was still unable to get it off.

Thanks, I'll try the first of those. But I don't know what you mean by the second? In the support settings I see no reference to that? Aren't the default settings supposed to allow 'break away' by the user?

If it helps, here's a screenshot showing all 52 lines:

    Apologies terrypin....I wasn't clear....

Breakaway material is a specific type of material. https://ultimaker.com/materials/breakaway

The settings of which are within Cura.......she below screenshot.

This is a screenshot of something that is printing right now:

We are using PLA material, and this is very easy to remove. The image also shows what settings we're using.

Terry,  What I do is create some small thin as possible "pillars"(green) to raise my part off the print bed and add "enable support interface" in the support menu this adds a thin layer under your part.

there will be support under the flat that is currently on the print bed, but I use a utility knife and it peels right off.

    Hope this helps,

    Frank

Great idea, thanks Frank, I'll try that when I next print a similarly challenging part.
