Update Cura Default

Hello,

 

Is there a way to override Cura Defaults in the recommended print settings without making a new profile name? 

I want the Draft, Normal, Fine, Extra fine defaults to automatically have an initial layer height of .1mm not the .27mm default as this gives our machines adhesion issues.

As you can see in the attached image the "Update profile with current settings/override" is not accessible when I try to do this.

No it is not possible, you can only update custom profiles.

One possibility would be to directly update the profile files within your Cura installation, but your changes will be overwritten with the next update, so it is not recommended to do it that way.

 

But when you create custom profiles, the last selected profile will be active also after a Cura restart, so you don't need to select it each time.
