No it is not possible, you can only update custom profiles.
One possibility would be to directly update the profile files within your Cura installation, but your changes will be overwritten with the next update, so it is not recommended to do it that way.
But when you create custom profiles, the last selected profile will be active also after a Cura restart, so you don't need to select it each time.

No it is not possible, you can only update custom profiles.
