Posted · Extruding 2 scraping bed plate when printing

Hey everyone, I am trying print a piece that uses dual extrusion. I am having issues when the second extruder is scraping the bed plate when it tries to print and messes up what the first extruder has printed. I am not sure what is causing this.  I have the Ulltimaker 3 ext. I have also attached the files I am trying to print/

Thanks,

Did you do a manual calibration?  I haven't done active leveling with my UM3 so I forget what it does exactly but if you manually level you need to make sure both nozzles are the exact same height in the manual procedure.  So the exact same amount of friction on the calibration card.

I'm not sure if active leveling levels the second nozzle - it's been too many years since I've done that.

The latest firmware 5.2.17 should adress this.

I have it on my UM3E too and the only workaround has been to set automatic levelling frequency to Always, nothing else has worked, neither manual levelling. Others have said this didnt solve their problems though.
