Ultimaker S3 Frame Light Brightness control does not work

Hi all,

 

Just received my S3, a big upgrade from my old Original!

 

However, I cannot adjust the frame light of my S3. Found the control in the settings, but the lights don’t change and stay on full brightness. Also the “glow when  print is complete” does not work, as well as the “only on while printing”. It just stays on.

 

Firmware: 7.0.1 (latest), also tried downgrading to latest stable release, 6.5.2, that did’t make a difference.

 

Is this a known issue (couldn’t find it on the forum), or a defect?

Just tested my S3, 7.0.1, behaviour the same as before.

My settings, lights while printing off, glow after finished on.

I use the slider (frame brightness) to control the lights, works perfectly.

@mrtsDid you try yet a Digital Factory reset on the printer? It somehow works like a soft reset.

@Dim3nsioneer - I tried a whole printer reset, and firmware reinstalls (both most stable and latest firmware). I'll try..

I have the same exact problem. But only on the S5. Have you resolved the issue ?

Hi, 

 

It was resolved by returning the printer for repair. If I’m correct, they replaced a main board.
