Good Morning

I need help with the PVA settings etc. We run a Ultimaker 3 and we are having problems with PVA. when we are printing with the PLA and using the PVA as support. The PVA is stopping half way though but the PLA continues printing. Please see attached pictures. Have a got the tension screw to tight and when I listen to the PVA is crackles and pops when its printing. Need advise please. I have recently unblocked the nozzle as well.

    Hello

Unfortunately, the PVA material draws moisture. The described noises fit to it.
To dry, you can put the filament on the build plate at max 55°C for a few hours.

The feeder can be turned in middle position. Otherwise a cork will form over the heat area of the print head.
This is then equivalent to a clogging of the printhead.

If you rarely print support material, Ultimaker Breakaway is the better choice. Especially with such free supports as shown in the picture, this would be a good choice.

    Many greetings

    Hi walkerj,

as an addendum to Ulrich's post, your feeder seems to be assembled wrong. I think I see the head of the tension set screw on your foto being outside on top of the feeder housing.

But this screw head must be locates INSIDE the feeder housing, otherwise it's impossible to set the feeder tension (the marker will never go down to the middle position, which is the correct tension).

    Regards
