plugin to connect CURA to a document management system possible?

Hello Community,

 

As a CURA newbie I have a general question about plugin development:

 

I want to create a plugin that connects CURA to a document management system.

The following functions should be available:
* Open a project
* Save a project
* Close a project
* Import a model (*.stl)

The functions are to be callable over own menu points.

 

Is this possible to implement in a plugin?

Much of Cura is implemented as a plugin, and it often helps to see what is already there and how it works.

What you want to do sounds fairly similar to the Digital Library plugin that ships with Cura. The source for that plugin is available here: https://github.com/Ultimaker/Cura/tree/master/plugins/DigitalLibrary
