Personally I'm very excited to share with you that we've been very busy preparing for the new Ultimaker showcase event that will be broadcasted tomorrow April 21st, at 4pm CEST / 10am EDT. When you join us you can discover first hand what the new Cura engine will be capable of and you can hear from some renowned users how they have experienced using it. Myself, and other Ultimaker experts will be in the chat to answer your questions!

Another reason why I'm excited is because I've personally produced this showcase event, so if you are curious what else I'm up to nowadays, come check it out and say hi in the chat! It would mean a lot!

Worried you might forget? Sign up here and we'll send you a notification before it starts!

You are in total control of your own agenda and planning? Tune in or subscribe to our youtube channel to join the premiere tomorrow live! The premiere is already listed..

See you there!!

It would be nice if you focused on items that were broken before starting another project.

It would be nice if you could be a bit more concrete.

A lot of the stuff in the showcase is about Cura, and we have a pretty decent balance between fixing existing issues and introducing new features.

Well, that's a firmware issue, which is an entirely different team. As you might imagine, we also started these changes a bit longer than 10 hours ago 😉

    • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

      This update is for...
      All UltiMaker S series
      New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
