S3 Network Setup never finishes

Recommended Posts

Posted · S3 Network Setup never finishes

I’m setting up my new Ultimaker S3 and got to the part to set up the network connection. Originally I tried to set it up with 5GHz but it was taking forever and when I looked it up apparently you can’t use 5GHz. So I stopped it and restarted with 2.4GHz, now it’s been at the “please wait this may take a minute” screen for about an hour.
Is there anything I’m missing?

I don’t think it’ll work at this point but I feel like it should have stopped itself by now if there was an issue.
Thanks for any help in advance.

If nothing within 10 minutes I'd power cycle it.

So if you have an ethernet cable you can put the printer into developer mode and ssh into it.  then config the wifi exactly how you want it using conman.   conman is a linux utility and you can google about it and there are videos, documents, tutorials, examples, etc.  Anything you can do on a PC or Linux or Mac you should be able to do in conman.  Extremely versatile. Including vpns, proxy servers, etc.  More info here:
