Ultimaker Cura 5.1.0-Beta - Disallowed Area

Buongiorno a tutti,

sono in possesso di una stampante Creality Ender 2-Pro e sto cercando un modo per eliminare lo spazio che Cura lascia dai bordi del plate in fase di sliceing.

Attualmente utilizzo la nuova versione Beta di Cura, ma lo stesso problema lo riscontro con la Versione 5.0.0 e con la precedente: il programma non ha un profilo ufficiale per la mia stampante, così carico quello della Ender 2 e modifico le dimensioni del plate ( le misure per la Ender 2 Pro sono 165x165x180 ). Così facendo per Cura lascia un certo spazio ( circa 10 mm ) dal bordo del plate su ogni lato, riducendo di parecchio ( in relazione alle proporzioni ) l'area di stampa massima.

 

Ho visto che utilizzando Creality Slicer 4.8, dove è presente il profilo "ufficiale" per Ender 2 Pro, non riscontro il problema del bordo.

 

Alla luce di questo ho provato a copiare il file di Definizione del Profilo JSON ( creality_ender2pro.def.json ) dalla cartella di Creality Slicer a quella di Cura ( Ultimaker\share\cura\resources\definitions ) : il profilo viene correttamente visto e caricato da Cura, ma i bordi sul plate rimangono e non riesco a capire come toglierli.

 

Ho provato anche la procedura indicata QUI ma non sembra avere effetto.

 

Ho un box che devo stampare per un progetto di lavoro le cui dimensioni sono al limite rispetto alle dimensioni del piatto della mia stampante, ma ci sta: solo che con Cura non posso fare lo sliceing perchè secondo il programma non ci starebbe, e sono quindi costretto ad usare Creality Slicer.

 

Allego uno screenshot esemplificativo della situazione, nel caso non fossi riuscito a piegarmi.

There was never an official Ender 2 pro setup available. The Ender 2 profile was introduced by an user as "Creawsome Base Printer" and the first version for Ender 2 (not Ender 2 Pro) some when back in 2019. Since then the bed size was set to 150 x 150  and 200 mm tall. The real bed size was 165 x 165 and 210 in height.

 

Your printer have according Creality documentation for Ender 2 Pro a bed size of 165 x 165  and the height is 180 mm.

To match this with your profile you can change the bed size and height.

 

-->Preferences -->Configure Cura -->Printers, select your printer -->Machine Settings

 

Modify the values to your need like X=160 , Y=160 and Z=180. This will give you 10 mm more in X and Y and leave a margin of 5mm.

Attached picture is an example for a modified Ender-2 profile.

Hello.

The gray areas are likely for the "Build Plate Adhesion".  Only the Ender 3 has disallowed areas for the clips of the glass bed and they are only along the front edge and rear edge.

If you change your adhesion to "Skirt" with the Skirt Line Count = 1, and Skirt Distance = 1mm then those gray areas should get smaller and the model should fit.  If you set the Build Plate Adhesion to "None" then the gray areas should disappear altogether.
