Digitial Factory, amount of material required for a print?

hi guys.

Is there a way to see how much material a job in my library requires? i just cant seem to find this information anywhere. It would be nice if i can look at the library and see that i need x amount of material, or to fit in a small job from the library at the end of my roll. (my continuous printing system in the material manager works 1 in 5 times, so we try to avoid using it)

So basically info next to each job in the library displaying the material length would be very beneficial as it currently only shows the print time which is essentially half the information required before you start it off.

    Hi Super_paulie,

Thank you very much for your request.

We've seen this feature being requested for several times.

Therefore, we've added the feature to allow the print job info extractor to get more information, like the density and the diameter, so that the estimated usage volume and the estimated mass can be calculated.

We are in the process of fine-tuning the Digital Library UI. The newly added information will allow us to display more info to users like you. Please stay tuned for the update... it's coming soon!

    Best regards, xli

I'm @Super_paulie I'm happy to share that we introduced a new feature in 5.2 to log a bunch of slicing data to DF together with the material estimation.

Unfortunately this is not retroactive, but all new files sliced with Cura 5.2 will show the material estimation.
