Top/Bottom dependency to orientation of object

Hello,

I am facing diffent generation for top/bottom layers which depend on orientation of the object to be printed.

At certian orientations of the object, the top/bottom layer are filled with a single line based on the arachne feature.

If the object is rotated, the top/bottom layer do change to the selected pattern (not the single line as above). I have also seen changes of this behaviour at first and second layer of top/bottom for same orientation of object.

I would like to know the background (slicer setting?) of this behaviour and how to control it.

Part of what is going on is the variable line width.

Here I've multiplied the model and let Cura arrange them.  The line width is your 0.4

Here the line width is 0.35 and all the models are filled with skin between the walls.

Here the line width is .42 and like magic, it's all good.  The walls will fit without any room for skin.

This is back to .35 line width but with the top/bottom pattern set to Concentric.

So there is flexibility in achieving what you want but 5.1 is different than earlier versions and has to be played with in order to figure out how the new features work.
