Bug Cura 5.1 and 5.2.1 hang then crash when attempting to save new profile, slicing fails

Several issues with new build.  Tried on Windows 10 (x64) and Windows 11 (x64)

1. Slicing will start then progress through the entire process, but when done interface resets back to "slice", no slicing performed, no preview.

2. Setting wall thickness to 5 lines still produces walls that are only 1 line wide.

2. Attempting to save a new print settings profile (and other operations that require a dialog, like Save project) causes program to hang:

The developers check the Github page for bug reports more than they do here.

You can go to https://github.com/Ultimaker/Cura/issues and create a bug report.

 

You should include a Cura.log file ("Help | Show Configuration Folder") and a Cura Project file ("File | Save Project").  You must put the two files into a zip folder and post the zip there on the site.  (Without the files nothing can really be done.)

 

Some information about your computer system would be helpful as well (operating system, video info, how many monitors you use, etc.).  I haven't seen a bug report there that describes the sort of failure you have going on.

The solution is that Cura does not support machines with multiple monitors!  Turn off all but 1 and it works.

From what I've read, most of the developers use multi-monitor systems.  There have been problems with certain video cards and computer systems as the problem seems to keep coming up.
