Help troubleshooting "Failed Print"

Hi, I had a print fail about 8h in on a 21h print job with no real indication as to why.

See images.(8) The "Failed" display is not - what I recall - the same as the flow sensor detection stop because of underextrusion/clogged nozzle etc.

This leaves me confused. The spool is free to rotate, extrusion seemed to be happening even after print stop, but there was a tiny blip where it stopped before the print head moved up indicating some flow / oozing before print failure script took over... The print head shouldn't be the point of failure however since it was free to move / reset position after removal..?

Could this be a simple case of clogging/underextrusion still despite conflicting evidence or is there something im missing?
The software & printer are giving me no hints at all.
Is it a known software/firmware thing? (Ultimaker S5 7.1.3 and cura 5.2.1)

Appreciate any reasonable suggestions/directions... hopefully im just missing something simple.
Cheers.
/Filip

Update: had a "fatal error" occur and crash report when attempting to restart the print today in cura 5.2.1. Just started printing from cura 5.0.0 instead. I'm not sure its related to a print stopping 8h/40% in on a replicated print, but when two strange things occur its hard to think its not. Praying its 100% a software issue...
