Hello, I am working on my master's thesis which involves collecting images with various common 3D printing errors. Does anyone know of any labeled datasets with the most common errors of the various 3D printing techniques? Thank you

It isn't something a lot of people are proud of.  That's especially true when the problem is self-inflicted.

Perusing the Creality Ender 3 group and some other "basic" printer groups on Reddit will certainly turn up a collection of disasters.  Searching by "Disaster Name" may be worthwhile.

 

Unfortunately, my prints are all models of perfection (HA!) so I can't really help.

We used to have this as our 404 page:


It shows pretty common errors .

So from left to right:
1. Filament got stuck to the nozzle
2. Belts not tight / missing steps
3. Filament didn't stick to previous layer
4. Steps not calibrated
5. Steps not calibrated
6. Same as 1
7. Steps not calibrated? Not quite sure what that one is

What I was hopping to find is a collection of images with such defects. Does anyone have any idea of a place where users post it or maybe a company displays them. Thanks

Are you looking for a dataset for machine-learning? If so, there are a couple of companies that made a collection, but they are not sharing them publicly.

yes, I am looking for that. It is not to share, it is only for educational purposes and the conclusion of my degree. I would be open to signing confidentiality documents if needed. Can you point me in their direction? thank you a lot!

Bambu Labs printers also have something like that integrated (https://bambulab.com/en), but I don't know if they just licensed Spaghetti Detective or trained their own.
