G29 Bed Leveling not working

Hello! I have been struggling trying to get my bed probing to work on my ender 3s1! On my printer the probe is working perfectly, and I have my calibrated my Z Probe position on the bed and I have made a 3 x 3 mesh. Just when I start a print my probe goes to the middle and probes once and goes to the side and starts printing! What do you think the problem is? Thank you for reading this!

Start GCode:

; Ender 3 S1 Pro Custom Start G-code
G92 E0 ; Reset Extruder
G28 ; Home all axes
G29 ; ABL
G1 Z2.0 F3000 ; Move Z Axis up little to prevent scratching of Heat Bed
G1 X0.1 Y20 Z0.3 F5000.0 ; Move to start position
G1 X0.1 Y200.0 Z0.3 F1500.0 E15 ; Draw the first line
G1 X0.4 Y200.0 Z0.3 F5000.0 ; Move to side a little
G1 X0.4 Y20 Z0.3 F1500.0 E30 ; Draw the second line
G92 E0 ; Reset Extruder
G1 Z2.0 F3000 ; Move Z Axis up little to prevent scratching of Heat Bed
G1 X5 Y20 Z0.3 F5000.0 ; Move over to prevent blob squish

This is from the MarlinFW site:

"By default G28 disables bed leveling. Follow with M420 S to turn leveling on.
With ENABLE_LEVELING_AFTER_G28 leveling will always be enabled after G28.
With RESTORE_LEVELING_AFTER_G28 leveling is restored to whatever state it was in before G28."

Both M420 and G29 can take several different parameters.

(My piece of paper only requires that I remember where I put it.)

Using the stock firmware on my Ender-3 V2 Neo, running G28 then G29 worked fine. You don't need to use M420 to re-enable ABL after running the home command, running G29 does that automatically (duh).

Can't speak for the E3V2Neo (it has since departed this world) but my Ender-3 V3 SE's firmware does have RESTORE_LEVELING_AFTER_G28 enabled.

Is your piece of paper used to level a bed with a PC metal plate which can be affected by the heat?

Yes.  However there is a piece of glass on top of the metal plate.  It's a composite alumina/silica system and must be at printing temperature for leveling because it changes shape while heating as the coefficients of expansion are different for each material.  The nozzle expands as well.

The only downside is that with the bed at 83° for PETG...I can burn my knuckles.

I think that applies to any material of print bed.

But when you have a magnetic sheet and the best way to get the print off is to grab the print bed and flex it... changing nozzles isn't the only reason I got rigger's gloves.
