Problems with overhangs

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited) · Problems with overhangs

I've got two Ultimaker S5s which have been amazing for years. Just recently I noticed circles not coming out correctly and overhangs, even with supports, coming out exceedingly bad. The circle issue turned out to be the mounting screws for one of the stepper motors had come loose, and that was an easy fix. But the overhangs are a trickier matter. I've attempted reducing the print head temperature by 10 degrees and reducing the print speed from 30mm/s to 27mm/s but that's done nothing but slightly decrease print quality.

You can see here a test print that shows the issue.

Any thoughts anyone?

Thanks!

Edit: One minor additional note, I've noticed corners of prints lifting away from the bed as well. Even with rafts, which normally fix that issue.
