Hi.

Our S5 makes a lot of errors trying to self-level. And I actually believe I know why.

On the core#1 there seem to missing the spring on top of the infeed-tube.

On core#2 there is a spring.

Seeing it auto level yesterday, the #1 core was pushed somewhat upwards. I imagine the missing spring is the culprit.

I only succeeded to print in the 4th try..

Anyone knows the part number of that?

Søren

    Hi,

there is no spring above the -static- printcore #1.

    So there's no spring missing.

Pushing up the printcore while levelling is to a certain grade normal.

Your auto-level issues must have a different reason.

    Regards

It seems there is an error with the height detection.

When it tries to level, the #core is the first it tries to touch the build plate with, and it lacks maybe 6-7 mm in touching.

It just moves up again, and then tries with core #1. It then makes the following error.

I have just manually adjusted the height with the card, so the settings should be ok.

    Update.

I tried cleaning the capacitive sensor and re-installed the silicone cover underneath the nozzles.

Worked 1st time hereafter. I hope it continues. 🙂

sometimes the cause seems to be a broken wire on the front fan.
