UM2+ ticking sound

Ok I'm trying it out now !!

Uploaded the .hex file with Cura

Cause, the Arduino compile had lots of errors so it wouldn't "send"

 

Yet I still have the tick tick sound for the Z axis.. which I was hoping "

Copied stepper module fixes from UM3 / Open source Marlin project. These fixes solve the problem where during fast movements you sometimes heard a loud tick sound like some mechanical hiccup was occurring." 

This would solve...  anything else I can try?

A ticking sound in the Z-Axis is not related to the firmware. I suggest you create a new topic for this question, then this topic doesn't get clutterred, and you will get better responses.

It's almost certainly a slicer setting - specifically you probably have "spiralize" enabled.  Read about that feature.  Decide if you want it or not.
