Build Issue with curaengine 5.6.0

Hi Greetings!

I was trying to build cura 5.6.0 from the Source and I followed the steps mentioned in Cura Build From Source.

I came up with the error in building the cura engine 5.6.0 as the build fails for the same.

I tried to build Cura Engine 5.6.0 separately after downloading and I am facing the same issue as mentioned below.

 

My Environment:

OS Windows 11

Conan 1.60.2

Python 3.10.11 (also tried with 3.10.4, 3.10.6, 3.10.9)

CMake 3.28.0 (also tried 3.23.0)

MSVC 2022

Perhaps @nallath or @ahoeben can suggest something.  Or try smartavionics who has built his own version of Cura many times over here: https://github.com/smartavionics/Cura/discussions  (he doesn't post on this forum anymore so try his github account where he is more active).

This forum is really more for user support. If you're having trouble building from source, you should probably ask on the CuraEngine GitHub repo.

As you advised I posted in the form. I know that the team is very busy. Since now there is no reply. Please let me know any attempts/solution from the community as well. Since i am terribly stuck. 😞

Hi guys I resolved the issue.

I made these changes in visual studio 2022 installer.

I used powershell inside x64 native tool command prompt. Thanks  🙂
