Posted · Printing Stencils - SVG files to STL. inverting the empty space with the cutting pieces

These were meant to cut out by a Cricut or Sillouette machine. I was able to convert the svg file i was provided to an STL but when i opened in Cura the print space is now the empty space and the printed pieces are what should be empty or serve as a border. How do I go about inverting the empty space with Fill space and the printed stencil pieces with empty space? I am at a loss here of if this is possible to correct or even how I would take the pngs attached and turn them into a stencil that is printable .
I am working with and Ender 3 printer btw

You can load images into cura.  Remove any models and do "file" "open" and just choose an image file like the ones above.

You can make the white areas "high" or the black "high".  you can make the "low" so low there is no material printed.  You can do grayscale as well.  You can adjust the "base" (which you probably want as zero) and the height, etc.

Or if doing it the easy way like @gr5 suggested is too easy for you, just invert the colours in the SVG and do whatever you did to turn them into an STL again (I usually import the SVG into OpenSCAD and just extrude it).
