Garolite source in NYC

Does anybody have a place where to buy a sheet of garolite in NYC? I need to print some nylon on Saturday (april 5, 2014)

Mcmaster has it. I also have a sheet that I never really used if you want it... in Bedstuy. You can have it.

MDF works alright too. Same with Poplar.

I printed nylon PA6 on the UM2 and it worked fine. I used blue tape on glass. My notes say I printed at 260C and the bed was at 50C. I figure a warm bed will let the nylon flow into the cracks of the blue tape better. I probably cleaned the blue tape with alcohol as I almost always do but that isn't mentioned in my notes.

I had to relevel with the blue tape of course.

One of the objects was a christmas ornament so it was kind of a large sphere compared to the tiny point of the sphere at the bottom and I was nervous about it getting knocked over but it was fine.

good to know, i have a piece of garolite coming in today from mcmaster (i had to order other stuff anyway). I'll print the first prototype in ABS, and if I have time, I do another one in Nylon, either on garolite, or bluetape or MDF.
