UM2 Replacement Glass Printbed

This is hardly a "modification and hack" but I'm trying to get my hands on a second glass printbed plate for the Ultimaker 2 (I want to be able to swap plates for PLA and ABS easily)

I can't find one on the ultimaker spare parts list (jn fact no UM2 spare parts…). Does anyone know where I can get one to the exact dimensions? Failing that what would be the best material ("um, glass?") to use to source my own replacement?

Thanks in advance.

The quickest solution is buying a simple glas plate from the local hardware store. Cut it a little smaller then the heatbed so it does not crack due to temperature differences. I don't know the right thickness as of yet since my 2mm glassplate bended after printing some abs parts. Of cause you can buy special heat resistant glas more expensive but that can also bend...

With the normal glass you can experiment and if it breaks getting a new one is not that difficult. If it is removable there is always a chance that you break it.

I just used a regular window glass cut to the size. It worked fine. Actually I could not find 4mm-thick glass in Thailand so I had to use 5mm and filed out 4 places where metal clips located to 4mm-thick to be able to slipped it in and held it down on the bed properly.
