I am not conviced yet...

The video is not that informative, a lot of laser light, hardly a finished product just out of the printer. The printer itself is not visible..

All the example parts shown are heavily polished or cut afterwards, comparison between a rocket-thing and a bottle-opener???

The bottle opener looks welded. The rocket part thingy looks made on a lathe... I could be wrong. But I don't think they actually have a working machine. And they won't develop one for only a 100k.

In the video he mentions that the rocket parts are not made in the printer but that they could be.

And the parts they claim are made in the machine look like they were heavily post processed indeed. Until I see a part being removed from the print area and show the "raw" print quality I'll hold my excitement. Who knows how much post processing was needed.

I tend to agree... If you see what the printer is actually printing, it looks like very bad quality.

Doesn't mean its not an interesting development though.

It really does not matter that the print quality might be somewhat disappointing, the main message is that the ball is rolling in the affordable printers field. If you compare the prints that came out of the Darwin to what I printed now with FDM that is a world apart too. I really hope these guys can deliver something reasonably useful.

Looks like they added a video of a working prototype, or at least a prototype doing some kind of work.
